Private Equity Directory

Know which sponsors actually buy what you're selling.

A directory of private equity firms built one firm at a time: what each one says it backs, at what size, in which markets, and how to reach it. Researched now, sold as a spreadsheet when the first regions are finished.

HOW A RECORD IS CHECKED

Enough to shortlist properly.

A name and a city is not a target list. Every firm carries what you need to judge whether it belongs on the list at all, and how to approach it if it does.

01

Who they are

Firm name, where it is headquartered, the offices it runs, and whether it is an independent sponsor, a captive arm or a listed manager.

02

What they buy

Stated strategy — buyout, growth, venture, credit, secondaries — with the sectors and the deal sizes the firm publishes for itself.

03

Where they buy it

The geographies a firm says it invests in, which is frequently not the country its letterhead is registered in.

04

How to reach them

Website, the firm email or enquiries address, switchboard number, and named partners with their titles where the firm publishes them.

Depth will be uneven, and we will publish the detail on the coverage page rather than bury it. Fields a firm does not publish are left blank, never inferred.

Checked by hand, one firm at a time.

Most private equity lists are registry dumps with a strategy label bolted on by keyword match. This one is not, and it will be smaller because of it.

HAND-CHECKED

Researched, not scraped

A researcher reads the firm’s own site and its public filings before it goes in. Anything that cannot be confirmed is left out, not guessed at.

STATED, NOT INFERRED

What the firm says about itself

Strategy, sector and deal size come from the firm’s own words. We do not model a mandate from a handful of deals and present it as fact.

ONE PAYMENT

Bought once, yours to keep

The plan is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no seat count, no renewal. Pay once, download the spreadsheet, and keep it.

The limits, stated up front.

The fastest way to judge a directory is by what it refuses to claim. Here is what this one will not.

Fund size and dry powder
Only where the firm or its filings disclose it. Never estimated, and never carried forward from a fund that closed years ago.
Partner mobile numbers
Not held. The directory records the firm’s published routes in — the enquiries address, the switchboard, the website.
Whether they are buying right now
Unknowable from public sources, so not claimed. A stated mandate is a statement of intent, not a live signal.

Built for people who need the right name.

ADVISERS

Sell-side and capital-raising advisers

Build a sponsor list for a process without re-deriving it from memory and last year’s tombstones every time.

OWNERS

Founders and owners selling

See which sponsors actually buy companies your size in your sector, rather than the ten names everyone already knows.

PLACEMENT

Placement and IR teams

Map the manager landscape in a region before committing to a fundraise, including the firms too small to appear in institutional databases.

Research is under way and regions will be released as they are finished. Say which one matters to you and we will tell you where it stands.
